As promised.
This week we cover buying a vacation home in Aspen, Colorado. I will give you information on Aspen nightlife and activities. I will also use a general 1000 square foot condo as a guide to sale prices, possible rental income, and an estimate of a mortgage payment.
Nightlife.
Of course we are talking about the nightlife first. I mean, isn’t that what you really want to know about after all? There are plenty of unique bars and clubs to mingle at or get your dance on. Belly Up constantly has big name, live music; while The Library is more of a fine wine and cigar lounge. the possibilities are endless, and boredom will never overcome the Aspen night walker.
Spas and Maroon Bells and Highlands….oh my!
If you are an early riser, there is also plenty to do. The Maroon Bells are some of the most frequently photographed mountains in the United States. There are also too many high end salons and spas to count you can visit to prep yourself for you big night at Belly Up. Need more activity? How about the Aspen Highlands? Filled with black diamonds, this ski area is not to miss!
Let’s get down to business.
Bottom line….a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1030 square feet of bliss is currently listed for a steal of a deal at $1,165,000! This would make your monthly payment somewhere in the ballpark of $5220 a month.
There is another way to recoup some of the costs involved in buying a vacation condo in Aspen.
Renting your vacation property while you are not using it is a great way to earn a little extra income. You may be able to rent this same property for about $15,000 a month while you are away. This would more than pay for your expenses. For more information on turning your vacation home into a rental property click here.
